Abstract

1) On 10 cases of pulseless disease, various serological examinations, complement fixation tests, precipitin tests and fluorescent antibody technique were performed.2) Fluorescent antibody technique using direct method showed that sera of the patients of pulseless disease containted auto-antibody against the affected carotid arteries involved by panareriis of pulseless disease. The anigeniciy was localized in, 1) cell infiltrated area of the outer layer of the media, 2) the thickened wall of the vasavasorum, and 3) a part of the adventitia where cell infiltration was found.3) The meaning of these results and etiology of pulseless disease were briefly discussed.
