Subtemporal Transtentorial Approach for Large Cerebello-Pontine Angle Meningioma

Subtemporal transtentorial approach was used in two patints with large meningioma of the cerebello-pontine angle.Subtotal removal was followed by early oral intake,early ambulation and excellent results.The approach through a large window in the tentorium provided good visualization of the superior rostro-ventral aspect of the tumor and avoided surgical trauma to the lower cranial nerves.
