Abstract
The structural change of silicate ions in 11 Å tobermorite with carbonation of ALC was studied by solid-state high resolution 29^Si NMR spectroscopy. It was found that the tobermorite in ALC is an anomalous Al-substituted type and that the silicate ions have double chain structure with Si-O-Si bridges. In addition, it was suggested that the silicate ions in tobermorite change from the double chain structure to three-dimensional cross-linked framework with the carbonation of ALC.
