大阪市港区にある旧国際見本市会場跡で堀削されたボーリング孔(港-B)で得られた試料中の微化石および火山ガラス等について検討し,大阪湾の海底地盤や陸域の標準層序と対比することを試みた。すなわち,ナンノ化石・有孔虫・貝形虫・貝殻片・珪藻・珪質鞭毛虫の準定量的な産出頻度から,海成層か非海成層かを判定し,対比の基準とした。その結果,アズキ火山灰層が掘削深度415m付近で確認され,また,11枚の海成粘土層が識別され,それらは大阪層群のMa3からMa13にそれぞれ相当することが判明した。さらに,これらを大阪湾の海底地盤の空港島累層の各部層と対比すれば,ダイノ層はMa8,アカガシ層はMa9,ハックスレイ層はMa10,トガサワラ層はMall,ノニオン層はMa12,アカホヤ層はMa13(沖積粘土層)にそれぞれ対比できる。

In order to correlate the submarine sequence in Osaka Bay with the land sequence, biostratigraphic study has been done about the drilling samples from the well named “Minato-B". The detailed correlation between the sequence in Osaka Bay and the standard sequence in western Osaka Plane was made clear by this investigation. The well named “Minato-B" was drilled 465m below ground level, and was located near the “OD-1" that was established the standard sequence in western Osaka Plane. A great number of samples were taken from this well, and lithology of sediments, microfossils(nannoplanktons, foraminifers, ostracods, diatoms, silicoflagellates and pollens) as well as volcanic ashes have been studied in detail. The purpose of this study is to correlate the submarine sequence in Osaka Bay with the land sequence. The detailed correlation between the sequence in Osaka Bay and the standard sequence in Osaka Plane was made clear by this investigation.
