ある「やくざ」少年の自我同一性  [in Japanese] On Ego Identity of a Delinquent Boy committed to YAKUZA  [in Japanese]

Abstract

It is one of my recent subjects of research to clarify the relation between various types of behaviour disorders and family psychopathology by case study method. As a part of it,in this paper a case of a delinquent boy committed to YAKUZA(Japanese violent gang)was presented and analyzed in detail. The outline of this case was as follows:A boy,cold-shouldered by his adoptive father, grew up with the jaundice against that and knew the truth of his own birth. He intended to become independent of his parents, but unfortunately a motor accident compelled him to be hospitalized. This collapse becoming a turning point,he went the length of committing himself to YAKUZA.The discussion centered on tracing and recomposing his personal history mainly from a viewpoint of“ego identity”advanced by E.H.Erikson.
