Sympagurus chuni(BALSS,1911)に対して,新属Tsunogaipagurus(新称カワリオキヤドカリ属)を創設した.本属は,縦長の前甲,極端に大きい目,右鉗脚の掌部腹面に明瞭な顆粒を多く持つこと,ツノガイ類の貝殻を利用することによって他のオキヤドカリ科の属と識別される.また,Tsunogaipagurus chuni(新称カワリオキヤドカリ)の詳細な再記載を行った.
A new monotypic genus, Tsunogaipagurus, is instituted for a distinct species, Sympagurus chuni (BALSS, 1911). This new genus is distinguishable from other parapagurid genera by the long shield, the extremely large eyes, the palm of the right cheliped provided with numerous distinct tubercles on the ventral surface and the scaphoped shell preference. Tsunogaipagurus chuni is redescribed with illustrations and a note on the living coloration.
