Abstract
A CT (computed tomography) technique is developed in a combination with interferograms to get three-dimensional density distributions for flows including nonstationary shock waves. An interferogram for an axisymmetric shock wave discharged from a circular open end is analysed by the present CT technique, and the resultant density distributions are found to be in a good agreement with the results obtained from the Abel tarnsformation.
