- 404 Forced Convection Heat Transfer Characteristics at a Liquid-Liquid Interface

An experimental study has been performed to investigate the forced convection heat transfer characteristics at the liquid-liquid interface between water and immiscible liquid under several flow rate condition of water and that of immiscible liquid. A silicon oil has been adopted as a testing immiscible liquid. The heat transfer coefficient was assessed by the temperature distribution within both liquids measured by using both thermocouples and thermochronic liquid crystal. The experimental results revealed that the flow rate of liquid exerted a large effect on its forced convection heat transfer coefficient and the heat flux between liquid-liquid interface.
