Hybrid cycle of Solid Oxide Fuel Cell and Micro Gas Turbine is discussed as the cycle to be used in the distributed energy generation system. Discussion is first directed to the distributed energy system which is expected to be popularly introduced both in urban and isolated areas. In the next, some characteristic features of SOFC and MGT are shortly described. In the last, discussion is turned to the SOFC and MGT hybrid system. It is demonstrated that this cycle is promising based on the efficiency analysis for the simplified cycle. It is also mentioned that research on this hybrid system is rich in topics in fluid and thermal engineering fields.
