抄録

A target trolley, on which the mercury target and its circulation system are fixed, is one of the key apparatus in the spallation neutoron source of the High Intensity Accelerator Project. Through the design study of the target trolley, the trolley length was decreased from 13 to 12m, the trolley weight down to 260ton, and mercury inventory down to 1.4m^3. Detailed structures of a water-cooled shielding, a positioning device and a cable etc. were also decided.
