Abstract
Effects of laser irradiation on liquid mixed particles are discussed in this paper. The induced motion of fine solid particles in droplet mixed fine particles by laser beam is observed. The gradient force with laser irradiation pressure of focused laser beam enables to trap transparent fine particles in three dimensions. In our trapping system, particle rotating phenomena is occurred. A laser trapping system contains CW YAG laser, which has 1.064micron in wave length and optical microscope. The motion of particles was monitored by a CCD camera on the top of a microscope and recorded by VHS connected to the CCD camera. The particles were at first scattered in a droplet placed on a slide glass and an electric stage was adopted in order to manipulate the slide glass.
