Co-Cr-Y垂直磁気記録媒体における抗磁力の膜厚依存性  [in Japanese] Thickness Dependence of the Perpendicular Coercivity in Co-Cr-Y Perpendicular Magnetic Recording Media  [in Japanese]

Abstract

The difference in the thickness dependence of the surface and volume coercivities in Co-Cr and Co-Cr-M films was investigated. Co-Cr-Y film showed almost the same thickness dependence for both surface and volume coercivities, while other Co-Cr-M films showed a large difference between them. It was found that Co-Cr-Y film have a topological structure with a mazelike pattern, showing a fine magnetic domain structure. Co-Cr-Y film is concluded to show strong magnetic coupling in the direction of the film thickness.
