垂直二層膜磁気記録媒体の再生減磁に与える外部磁界の影響  [in Japanese] Influence of an External Field on Perpendicular Media Demagnetization  [in Japanese]

Abstract

Demagnetization of written bits in a medium with a single-pole write head, namely, head-induced erasure,was investigated in perpendicular recording. The effects of using a single-pole head in combination with a double-layer medium in experiments were also studied. In this paper, we discus the demagnetization of a medium by addition of an exernal field. A way of counteracting that field is suggested as a means of changing the permeability of the medium underlayer.
