Abstract

Characterization of electrodeposited Fe-B alloy films was evidenced by ESCA and EXAFS measurements. These measurements revealed that (1) boron and iron in the films are chemically bound to each other, and (2) oxygen and carbon exist in the electrodeposited films. Owing to the fact that oxygen and carbon are also chemically bound to iron and boron, the effective boron content in film is decreased.
