Pt添加Fe_3O_4膜の電気伝導と磁気抵抗効果  [in Japanese] Magnetoresistance and Electrical Conductivity of Fe_30_4 Films with Added Pt  [in Japanese]

Abstract

Giant magnetoresistance was discovered in 250-nm-thick Fe_30_4 polycrystaline films with added Pt. The characteristic GMR was about 8.7%. It was found that the GMR is dependent on the Pt content X (at.%) and the sample thickness. The electrical conduction mechanism ρ of the samples were as follows: small polaron hopping for X=0at.%, the barrier tunneling effect at the grain boundary for X=1at.%, and a combination of tunneling and the percolation process for X≧2at.%.
