Abstract
A new method for measuring the low-frequency impedance of energized single-phase powelines is proposed, and measured data in the frequency range of 100Hz-20kHz are presented. To estimate the quantity of noise generated in commercial ac lines, we have to know the frequency characteristics of the line impedance. In the high-frequency range (20kHz-30MHz), experimental results have already been reported. However, it seems that data on the low-frequency range have not yet been reported. Because the audio-frequency range contains many harmonics of higher frequency than commercial ac, the data in this frequency range are indispensable for evaluating distortions. The proposed measurement circuit was constructed by using our original noise superimposer.
