Abstract

This paper describes a low-pass filter with a distributed constant circuit, which has electrically grounded top and bottom metallic magnetic layers, dielectric layers, and inner conductor lines. A trial large-scale device was used as an output noise filter in a 5 MHz switching boost micro dc-dc converter. With the new low-pass filter, the output spike noise was strongly supperessed.
