携帯電話用薄型リニア振動アクチュエータの基礎特性  [in Japanese] Characteristics of a Thin Linear Oscillatory Actuator for Cellular Phones  [in Japanese]

Abstract

Cellular phones are widely used these days, and there is a strong need for a thin model. Most celluar phones contain a vibrator that notifies the user of informing calls. For this purpose, a small rotary vibration motor is used. To make a thin cellular phone, it may be possible to use a linear oscillatory actuator (LOA) as the vibrator. This paper describes (1) considerations regarding the magnetic circuit and thrust of the LOA, (2) considerations regarding the use of the transfer function in the design method of the LOA, and (3) its trial fabrication of an LOA, measurement of vibration acceleration, and comparison of the LOA with rotary vibration motors.
