The ratio of the amount of a wheel-load Q of a carriage to the tension T of the main cable is one of the important factors to obtain any adequate design of a logging cableway. The standard ratio was discussed theoretically, and Q/T≦1/50〜1/30 was suggested though it should be proved by empirical procedures later on.
