During the dissection practice for students in 1964, the following three variations were encountered. 1) No.156 : age 50, male : The muscle, M. iliacus minor, is generally believed to originate from Spina iliaca anterior superior. The present case shows an interesting variation in that, the muscle originates with a tendon from Ligamentum iliolumbale at the middle part of the right Christa iliaca and by 8.8 cm median side of Spina iliaca anterior superior, fusing into M. iliopsoas. The length of themuscle was 8.2 cm, the width 1.5 cm and the thickness 0.2 cm. Presence of M. sternalis in the left side was also noticed in the corpse. 2) No.161 : age 48, female : The A. cystica branches usually from the Ramus dexter of A. hepatica propria, one of the branches of Truncus coeliacus, and runs into Vesica fellea. In this case, the artery arises as a branch of A. mesenterica superior and ascends to Vesica fellea without producing or receiving other branch on the way. This would be one of the rarest variations 3) No.164 : age 33, male : The A. renalis exhibts multiple variations either in terms of the numbers of branches in both halves of the body or in the location at which it branches off from the Aorta abdominalis. In the present corpse the kidney of the right side received two branches of renal artery with approximately the same diameter directly from the Aorta. But the upper one crosses behind V. cava inferior and the lower one in front of V. cava inferior and respectively reaches Hilus renalis.
