Abstract
The disaster in Noshiro City caused by the 1983 Nihonkai-chubu earthquake were especialy found in the ancient course of Yoneshiro River or the ancient lagoons, which were checked up with interpretation of the air photograph. One of the remarkable disastars was the earth-crack-phenomenon with a regular direction. The cracks ran parallel to the ancient course of Yoneshiro River. However some of them were the landslips as the result of the liquefaction in the ancient burried lake, the soft ground in the ancient course of Yoneshiro River.
