東北日本弧北端,積丹半島-支笏湖地域における中新世後期〜鮮新世火山岩類の化学組成の時空変遷  [in Japanese] Temporal and spatial geochemical variation in late Miocene to Pliocene volcanic rocks from the Shakotan Peninsula-Lake Shikotsu area, the northern end of the NE Japan arc  [in Japanese]

Abstract

Temporal and spatial variations in major and trace elements, and Sr and Nd isotope compositions of 10-2 Ma volcanic rocks from the Shakotan Peninsula-Lake Shikotsu area at the northern end of the NE Japan arc have been examined. K_2O and ^<143>Nd/^<144>Nd increase, and ^<87>Sr/^<86>Sr decreases toward from the front to the back-arc side. These high K_2O, Rb, Ba, ^<143>Nd/^<144>Nd and low ^<87>Sr/^<86>Sr signatures of the back-arc side volcanics extend eastward after 6 Ma. Low K_2O and ^<143>Nd /^<144>Nd is limited to an area between west of Sapporo city and Lake Shikotsu of the frontal side at 6-2 Ma. Ba/Zr and Rb/Zr ratios tend to be high for rocks in the back-arc area, though they are not neccessarily correlated with low ^<87>Sr/^<86>Sr and high ^<143>Nd/^<144>Nd ratios. This mlight be a result of a LILE overprint related to subduction on an depleted mantle plume emplaced during opening of the Japan Sea. This overprinting effect also extended eastward after 6 Ma, which could be due to an increase in the subduction angle of the Pacific plate under the NE Japan arc.
