Abstract
Thick marine sediments of Miocene to Pliocene Miura Group and Pliocene to middle Pleistcene Kazusa Group are widely distributed in the southern part of the Kanto district. The Miura Groupis divided into 6 units, each depocenter of which shows the northward migration and extentionas shown in the profiles. The Kazusa Group is divided into 3 units, and it shows the similar characteristics in deposition. The auther insists that the folding makes progress during the deposition of each formation, and the process is printed in the formation.
