Abstract

A 73 year-old male developed hyponatremia repeatedly following treatment with cyclophosphamide and vincristine for an oat-cell carcinoma of the lung. The osmolarities and sodium levels of serum and urine at 24 hours after administration of cyclophosphamide was measured. The results were consistent with a diagnosis of SIADH induced by cyclophosphamide. The possibility of an ectopic-ADH producing tumor was ruled out by clinical findings of the patient.
