Recently, peripheral blood stem cell transplantation has become popular, and it has been accepted as a standard therapy for various solid tumors and hematological disorders. Peripheral blood stem cell harvest (PBSCH) is basically safe, however, some fatal adverse effects of G-CSF have been recently documented. Important things are to estimate the frequency of adverse effects of G-CSF, to follow up the donor information, and to observe the guidelines of PBSCH.
