Abstract
垂直磁気記録において, RLL符号化縦続接続ターボ符号化・復号化方式のAPP復号器の性能改善について検討している.APP復号器のPRチャネル出力レベル推定器を改良し, 計算機シミュレーションによりその誤り率特性を求めた結果, 従来方式に比べて性能改善が得られることが明らかとなった.さらに, 符号化・復号化を行うブロックの拡大についても検討した結果, 長ブロック化により性能改善が得られることが明らかとなった.
Performance improvement of an APP decoder in a serially concatenated turbo coding and decoding system is studied in perpendicular magnetic recording. An estimator of output levels from a PR channel in APP decoder is improved, and BER performance is obtained by computer simulation. The results show that the performance is improved. It is also clarified that the performance improvement is obtained by extension of coding and decoding block size.
