Abstract

An analysis of a waveguide coupler between two crossed or parallel rectangular waveguides, coupled through a wide slot, offset from center line of the broad wall, is investigated. In this paper, we use Fourier transform technique to solve the coupling problem and take into account the higher order modes. The numerical results are affected by the number of the modes when the width of the slot is wider than λ/10. The theoretical results of both the magnitude and phase of the S parameters by using different number of modes are compared.
