きく6号固定通信及び移動体通信用中継器の軌道上性能評価  [in Japanese] In-orbit Performance Test Evaluation of Fixed and Mobile Communication Transponders on Kiku 6  [in Japanese]

Abstract

静止軌道投入に失敗したきく6号(ETS-VI)のマルチビーム固定通信及び移動体通信用中継器について、NTT横須賀実験局から試験電波を送信し、入出力特性、振幅周波数特性等の性能試験を実施した。衛星は準回帰軌道に投入されたため準備した地球局アンテナでは移動する衛星を追尾することができず1回の試験時間が約2分と極めて短かい状況下で試験を進めた。試験の結果、軌道上データは地上データを再現し、サテライトスイッチを含む固定通信用中継器及びマルチポー卜増幅器を使用した移動体通信中継器が、打ち上げ後の宇宙環境下においても正常に動作していることを立証できた。

In-orbit tests of the multi-beam fixed and mobile communication on-board transponders on KIKU 6 were carried out at the NTT Yokosuka experimental earth station. Test items are input/output characteristics, frequency/amplitude responses, etc. KIKU 6 was failed to be injectecd to an intended geo-stationary orbit. So the performance tests were rather difficult but test results show that measured data are nearly equal to ground test data. It is verified that the fixed communication transponders including a satellite switch, and the mobile communication transponders including a multi-port amplifier, are operating normally in space after launch.
