SST2000-11 / SAT2000-21 TCP/IPの衛星通信回線への適用について  [in Japanese] Application of TCP/IP to Satellite Communications Link  [in Japanese]

Abstract

遅延が大きく、伝送路環境が変化しやすい衛星回線へのTCP/IPの適用について検討する。具体的には、ネットワークシミュレータnsを用いて、エラーレート、ウィンドウサイズ等のパラメータを様々に変化させたときのスループット特性を中心に示し、特性結果について考察する。さらに、送信キューの容量がスループット特性に与える影響についての整合が重要であることを指摘する。

The performance obtained by the network simulator(ns)is discussed when the TCP / IP is applied to satellite links with a long transmission delay and a variety of transmission error rate. The simulated results focusing on the throughput are demonstrated and analyzed as parameters of window size, queue size, packet size, error rate and so on. It is finally pointed out that the matching among these parameters is important to realize a good throughput.
