Recently, space division multiple access (SDMA) has been proposed to improve channel efficiency. In this paper, assuming an MMSE adaptive array at a base station, we examine the performance of the system with and without SDMA for both fixed channel assignment (FCA) and dynamic channel assignment (DCA). The performance is evaluated using incomplete service rate as quality of service in addition to the blocking rate and forced call termination rate. The results show that the SDMA achieves 2.08-fold and 1.2-fold capacity improvement at the blocking rate of 3% in FCA on 9 cells per cluster and in DCA, respectively.
