Abstract

ALSなどの重度肢体不自由者の意志伝達装置として, スキャン法に基づくコミュニケーション装置が広く利用されている.しかし, 筋力が低下している患者は頻繁に誤入力を起こすため, スキャン速度を低く設定せざるを得ない.本報告では, スキャン法に基づく文字入力において発生する入力誤りを, 統計的言語モデルをにより自動訂正する枠組を提案する.初めに, 健常者による入力誤り特性測定実験とその結果について述べる.次に, その測定結果から得られた入力誤りモデルを用いた自動訂正シミュレーションの方法を述べる.シミュレーション実験の結果, 提案法は入力誤りを最大で66.9%削減できることが示され, 提案法の有効性が明らかとなった.

The scanning input method is a widely used augmentative and alternative communication tool mainly for people with severe physical disabilities such as ALS. In this report, a novel framework for automatic error correction for scanning input based on statistical language models. Firstly, the characteristics of input error distribution are described by showing the results of text input experiments by healthy subjects. Then, the method for simulating erroneous input and automatic error correction is illustrated. Finally, it is shown that the automatic error correction system can dramatically reduce the number of input errors (up to 66.9% error reduction), and the effectiveness of the proposed framework is revealed.
