Abstract

複雑な背景をもった画像中から顔および目と口を認識し, その形状の切出しを行うネットワークを構築した. これは選択的注意機構のモデルを改良したネットワークであり, 互いに相互作用をもつ高低二つの異なる解像度での処理系から構成される. 正面を向いたほぼ同一サイズの顔画像数枚を学習させ, ネットワークの能力を評価した. このような限られた条件のごく少数の画像のみによる学習でも, 学習の完了したネットワークは, 多数のテスト画像について, 顔のさまざまなバリエーションにある程度対応して認識と切出しを行う能力をもつようになることを確かめた.
