Abstract

近年になって,マイクロプロセッサにマルチプロセッサを支援する機構が組み込まれるようになり,その機構を利用した高性能なマルチプロセッサワークステーションが各社から発表されている.本稿では,これらのワークステーションの中からSUNのSPARCcenter 2000シリーズと,SGIのPower Challenge / Challegeシリーズを取り上げて,その構成について概説すると共に,並列計算機に必要なマイクロプロセッサの機構について考えてみる.
