波長多重リンクATMスイッチにおける競合制御方式  [in Japanese] A Novel Arbitration Logic for wavelength multiple link ATM switch  [in Japanese]

Abstract

本論文では, 波長多重技術を用いた簡易なATMセル送出アルゴリズムを提案し, その性能評価を行った.本提案方式は従来の入力バッファ型スイッチで用いる競合制御方式より, 簡易且つ高速な処理が可能になる.この提案方式を波長多重リンクスイッチで用いた場合の性能評価を行い, 偏りのあるトラフィックに対してもロバストであり, かつスループットが100%に達成できる.本提案方式はマルチメディア通信における高速・大規模スイッチにおいて有効な方式である.

This paper proposes a novel artibtration logic for wavelength multiplexing link for ATM switching. The proposed arbitration logic uses an Input-buffer-type ATM switch which enables more simple, fast, and efficient switching compared to conventional scheduling algorithm. Numerical results show that the proposed wavelength multiplexing link ATM switch has robust performance and large throughput for biased-characteristic traffic. As a result, it can be said that the novel ATM switch using proposed arbitration is very suitable for buliding a high-speed ATM switching system in multimedia backbone networks.
