Abstract
The preset study aimed at examination of the influence of observers and monitor TV upon expressions of emotions. In the experiment, five female students were asked to make in their own ways under four different conditions; with or without observers, with or without monitor TV on which they could see their faces. The results indicated that the monitor TV significantly effected upon the strength and the time lapse of making facial explessions when the obervers were rooming in. It is suggested that the existence of observers weakens and shortens the display of facial expression. The correlation between the strength and the time lapse of facial expressions (r=.43) was significant and the individual differences were found in the time lapse.
