Abstract
単一Diffservドメイン上でのVoIPアドミッションコントロールの実現法について提案する.提案手法は,(1)ネットワーク内のVoIP用の帯域リソースを予め各エッジノードペアに配分し,アドミッションコントロール機能はエッジノードのみに持たせ,エッジノードが自律分散的に受付判断を行う,(2)VoIPフローのトラヒック特性が正確に予測できる点に着目し,エッジノードペア毎に多重可能なVoIPフロー数の最大値をあらかじめ評価・保持することで,多重VoIPフロー数との比較により,ネットワークの負荷測定を行わずに受付判定が可能,(3)最大多重可能数を調整することにより,キューイング遅延の任意のx%値を保障可能,等の特徴を有する.
This paper proposes a measurement-free admission control for IP telephony services over a Diffserv-based network. The proposed control has three noteworthy features. First, in this control, a bandwidth resource reserved for VoIP traffic is partitioned into several pieces, each of which is assigned to a different edge-node pair to eliminate the need for core nodes to perform admission control. Second, how many VoIP flows can be multiplexed between each edge-node pair is evaluated in advance. Thus, each edge router can perform the admission control simply by comparing the resultant maximum number of multiplexable VoIP flows with the number of currently multiplexed VoIP flows. Third, it can guarantee any x-percentile delay requirement by adjusting the maximum number of multiplexable VoIP flows.
