Abstract

B-PON(Broadband Passive Optical Network)システムは高速インターネットサービスを提供するインフラとしてすでに光アクセスネットワークに適用されている.一般加入者に対するFTTH(Fiber To The Home)では,将来的には電話を含むマルチサービスの提供が必要と考える.本稿ではB-PONシステムにおける電話サービスの提供方法を示すとともに,開発したB-PONシステムを用いた性能評価結果を示す.

B-PON (Broadband Passive Optical Network) systems are applied as the optical access network infrastructure for the high speed internet access services. In case of FTTH (Fiber To The Home) services to residential customers, the support of multiple kinds of services including the telephony service may be required in the near future. In this paper, we indicate a mechanism to provide the telephony service in the B-PON system and the evaluation results of the voice quality test using the B-PON system that we developed.
