LPとCDの音質のちがいについて : 生理学的・感性科学的検討  [in Japanese] A study on the difference of the sound quality between LP sound and CD sound -physiological and KANSEI scientific approach-  [in Japanese]

おなじ音楽ソースからつくられたLPとCDとの再生音を対象として、主観的評価と生理学評価とを総合した検討をおこなった。その結果、LP再生音とCD再生音とのあいだ、およびLP再生音とそこから22kHz以上の成分をとりのぞいた再生音とのあいだに、おなじ傾向の音質差が検知された。同時に、LPに豊富にふくまれている可聴域をこえる高周波成分が、脳波α波パワーを有意に増大させることもみいだされた。LP音とCD音とに対する人間の感性的・生理的反応のちがいは、LP再生音に豊富にふくまれる半面CD再生音にほとんどふくまれていない可聴域をこえる高周波成分の誘起するハイパーソニック・エフェクトが主たる要因になっている可能性がたかい。

We compared the sound quality of analog disk(LP)and digital compact disk(CD)which were made from the same analog master tape, using the subjective and physiological method.The same tendency of differences in sound quality were found between LP sound and CD sound,as well as between LP sound and high-cut LP sound at 22 kHz. We also found that α-EEG power was increased by the high frequency components in LP sound.The difference of our KANSEI reaction and physiological reaction between LP and CD might be mainly caused by the existence of high frequency components,which are rich in LP sound,but not in CD.
