Abstract
本稿では、非線形ファイバSagnac干渉計型を用いた位相感応型光増幅器(NFSI-PSA)に用いる非線形ファイバの各係数、励起光パワーと同相利得の関係について、理論値と実験値を対応させる。理論値は、非線形ファイバSagnac干渉計(NFSI)での光パラメトリック過程を小信号解析で記述して求める。小信号解析は実験値が示す傾向と良く一致し、NFSI-PSAの動作解析手段として有用であることを示す。また非線形係数が通常ファイバの7倍である高非線形ファイバをNFSIに用いることにより、従来と比較して最大で10dB前後光利得を増大できたので報告する。
This paper clarifies the relationship between optical gain and fiber parameters of optical phase-sensitive amplifier with nonlinear fiber Sagnac interferometer (NFSI-PSA) by both theoretical and experimental study. In the theoretical study, parametric process within nonlinear fiber Sagnac interferometer (NFSI) is described by the small-signal analysis to obtain optical gain. The results of the small-signal analysis well explain experimental results, which means the analysis is applicable to design NFSI-PSA. We also confirmed as high as 11 dB gain increment by using high nonlinearity silica fiber which is enhanced nonlinearity parameter 7 times larger than the conventional single mode silica fiber.
