分散マネージメント波長分割多重光ソリトン伝送方式におけるタイミングジッタの解析  [in Japanese] Analysis of timing jitter in wavelength-division-multiplexed dispersion managed optical soliton transmission system  [in Japanese]

Abstract

波長分割多重光ソリトン伝送においては,異なるチャネル間のパルスの衝突時に相互位相変調効果による周波数シフトが生じ、ファイバの分散性を介してパルスの到着時間にジッタをもたらす.この周波数シフトは,ファイバの分散値を長平方向に周期的に変化させて伝送路を設計する分散マネージメント技術によって低減することができる.本報告では,分散マネージメント伝送路でのパルス衝突による周波数シフトや時間シフトの基本的性質を理論的に述べる.また,波長が異なる信号パルス間の衝突に起因する時間ジッタと,雑音と信号パルスとの相互作用に起因する時間ジッタをあわせて評価し,伝送路の最適な平均分散値を提案する.

In a wavelength-division-multiplexed (WDM) optical soliton transmission system, collision of solitons between different channels induces shifts of their center freqtnerncies, then results in an undesirable time jitter through the fiber dispersion. This frequency shift can be reduced by managing the dispersion value periodically along the transmission line, namely the dispersion management technique. In this report, we theoretically show the mechanism of the collision induced frequency shift and timing shift for a dispersion managed line. Then we propose an optimal path averaged dispersion of the map with respect to the minimum timing jitter induced by collision and amplifier noise.
