非線形伝送による長距離高密度波長分割多重の検討  [in Japanese] A study of long haul dense WDM systems based on nonlinear trarnsmission technology  [in Japanese]

Abstract

高い周波数利用効率の波長分割多重(WDM)伝送では隣接チャネルとのチャネル間干渉が顕著になる.特に数千kmを超える長距離伝送では,自己位相変調(SPM)の影響によるスペクトル拡がりにより伝送距離が著しく制限される.本報告では分散とSPMによる周波数チャープを釣り合わせて伝送することでスペクトル拡がりが緩和され,周波数利用効率が高い場合にも長距離のWDM伝送が可能となることを示す。

For wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) transmission systems with high spectral efficiency, inter-channel interferences due to neighbor channels are serious problem. Especially, for long haul transmission over several thousands kilo-meter, the transmission distance is considerably limited because of spectral broadening caused by the self phase modulation (SPM). In this report, we show that the spectral broadening is suppresed using nonlinear transmission technology and it is possible to transmit pulses over thausands kilo-meter in high spectral efficiency.
