機能的MRIによるヒト視覚野の解剖学的及びレチノトピック構造の解析  [in Japanese] Anatomical and retinotopic organization of functional areas in the human visual cortex  [in Japanese]

Abstract

ヒト視覚皮質は一次視覚野(V1)及びその近傍にある多数の領野(V2, V3, V3A, V4v, V8など)で構成されていることが、機能的MRIによる最近の研究によって明らかにされている。しかしながら、各視覚野の詳細な解剖学的特性、網膜対応特性については未解明の点が多い。本研究では健常者を対象とした機能的MRIにより、上記各視覚野の位置、面積、レチノトピック構造の詳細(皮質拡大率)及び個体差を測定した。

Recent studies of fMRI have revealed that human visual cortex consists of one primary visual area and multiple extrastriate areas arranged in a distributed hierarchical organization. The anatomical, functional and retinotopic properties of these visual areas remain to be unknown. With using methods for cortical surface area measurement and functional measurement of the human brain, we determined size, position and extent of functional defined striate and extrastriate areas in the human brain. We also specified the retinotopic properties of the areas by estimating cortical magnification factor.
