NOAA/AVHRR satellite thermal images study showed the presence of positive anomalies of the outgoing infrared (IR) Earth radiation flux recorded in night time and associated with largest linear structures and fault system of the crust. The relation of IR anomalies and seismic activity was established for Middle Asia and China on the base of 7-year series of thermal images analysis. The anomaly is appeared in 6-24 days before earthquake, and continued about week after. The amplitude of anomaly is about 3C^0. Thermal anomalies in Japan have more complex shape and require the advanced research.
