有機真空蒸着膜における磁界印加の影響  [in Japanese] Effect of magnetic field on the growth of organic evaporated thin films  [in Japanese]

Abstract

新しい有機分子の配向法として磁界配向をとりあげ、その実現に向けた基礎的な現象を明らかにするために、永久磁石上に基板を置いた形で有機薄膜の作成を行い、その膜構造のキャラクタリゼーションを行った。用いた有機材料はトリフェニルジアミン誘導体(TPD)、アルミキノリノール錯体(Alq3)、フェニレンオリゴマー(4PO)、ビアントロン(BA)、チオフェンオリゴマー(5T)を用いた。TPDとAlq3は磁気異方性が小さく、膜質も非晶質性が強いので、磁界印加の影響が見られなかった。4POはPLスペクトルが変化し、従来の分子配向が悪くなった。一方、BAと5Tは磁界印加により従来の分子配向を強調されることがわかった。

The author is investigating the influence on porperties of vacuum-deposited thin films of organic dyes prepared applying magnetic fields. In spite of weak magnetic field intensity (0.1〜0.3T), the effect of magnetic field could be observed in PL spectra, X-ray diffraction pattern and IR-RAS spectra on p-quaterphenyl (4PO), 10, 10'-Bianthrone(BA) and quinquethiophene (5T). Although the orientation of 4PO molecules is reduced by the application of magnetic field during growth, those of BA and 5T molecules are enhanced. When a magnetic field strength is weak, the magnetic orientation of organic molecule needs the magnetic anisotropy of molecule.
