光ダブルパルスの相互相関を利用した、OTDM信号の時間位置ピコ秒安定化回路の検討  [in Japanese] Picosecond Timing Stabilization of OTDM Signals by Using Cross-corelation of Optical Double Pulses.  [in Japanese]

Abstract

次世代の100Gbit/s級超高速光伝送システムの実現に必須なOTDM伝送技術では変調、分波・合波の際に高いタイミング精度・安定度が要求される。高速の電気回路や受信器を用いずに、パルス間の相互相関を利用した光パルスタイミングモニタと安定化回路を検討した。本構成ではビットレートによらず、短パルスほど高時間精度のタイミング制御が可能という利点がある。実験的に20Gbit/sRZパルスのタイミング揺らぎの抑圧効果を確認し、90ピコ秒以上の大きなタイミング変動を、1.5ピコ秒以内に長時間安定化できた。また、実際に20^*2=40GのMUX信号のパルス等間隔性を評価して、±0.8ピコ秒以内の高い安定度を確認した。

Optical Signal pulse timing control is very important for stabilizing short pulse processing such as optical time-division multiplexers (OTDM). We realize a sub-picosecond pulse-timing monitor and stabiliser by using optical double-pulses and their cross-correlation signals. A 90ps long term timing drift due to the 30^0__-C temperature change is stabilised within the 1.5ps at 20GHz optical short pulse signal trains. In addition, when the estimation of OT-MUX 40 Gbit/s pulse train's equalness from 2 channel of 20Gbit/s pulses MUX, we observed the excelent stabilization within the 0.8ps of small timing drift.
