Sensilla on the Female Antenna of Five Carabid Species of the Genus Damaster (Coleoptera : Carabidae)

Abstract

The sensilla on the antennae of 5 female carabid species of the genus Damaster were investigated using scanning electron microscopy. Fifteen types of sensilla are determined on the antenna of the species examined : 5 types of sensilla trichodea ; 8 types of sensilla basiconica ; 1 type of sensilla ampullacea ; and 1 type of sensilla campaniformia.
