Northeast Asian Ephemenoptera in Imanishi's 1940 Report

Abstract

We reviewed Imanishi's (1940) taxonomic report on the Ephemeroptera that is the first comprehensive taxonomic study in Northeast Asia covering Northeast China, Inner Mongolia, Korea, and Japan. We provided information on the materials and localities, verification of formal and informal species with a tabulated summary of taxonomic changes, and additional discussion on his taxonomic, biogeographic, and evolutionary thoughts on mayflies.
