Immature Stages of Phryganea (Colpomera) japonica McLachlan (Trichoptera : Phryganeidae)

Abstract

The larva and pupa of Phryganea (Colpomera) japonica McLachlan, 1866, are described. P. japonica larvae have minute spines instead of the coxal combs typical of Phryganea. The subgenus Colpomera's phylogenetic position is reviewed.
