A New Species of the Genus Hypocera Lioy from Asia (Diptera : Phoridae)

Abstract

An Asian species of the genus Hypocera which had been considered to be H. mordellaria, the single Palaearctic species of the genus, was reexamined. The Asian species of Hypocera was distinctly different from European H. mordellaria in the morphology of the male genitalia, and it is described as Hypocera anularia sp. nov.
