Taxonomic and Faunistic Notes on the Sepsidae (Diptera) in Seram, Indonesia

Abstract

Fourteen species belonging to eight genera of the Sepsidae (Diptera) are reported from Seram, East Indonesia. Of them, one species, Toxopoda papuensis is described as new to science. Two species are newly recorded from Indonesia. The sepsid fauna of Seram is discussed and a key to the species is provided.
